What is your typical writing process? Do you lock yourself in a room? Do you look around for inspiration? And once you've found it does the process move along really quickly?
It varies a lot depending on what we are doing at the time. I find it really hard to write on the road with all the distractions etc. I liked how we wrote this new album, first we went to Portland and got a 24 hr studio lockout and went every day for a month. We wrapped up the rest of the album here in North Hollywood and went to our studio everyday for 3 weeks. Personally, I think it really helps to clear your schedule and just block out time where you do nothing but write. :)
